Blessings

Today, I just want to praise God for our blessings. 

A few days ago a big storm came through and broke a part of one of our trees. It didn't damage anyone's property including ours. We are grateful for God's protection even though we didn't know to pray for it or ask for it!  He just knew and took care of us!

We finished a few projects in the house recently. They were not fun, but the new backsplash is beautiful!  Brian and I enjoyed doing it together. I am grateful for the time we have together.

We went to my father-in-laws for Father's Day this past weekend. My father passed away long ago, so my father-in-law is the only human father I have. He is a great person, a practicing Christian, and a wonderful father. He and my mother-in-law have been so helpful to Brian and I. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude for all of their help. We are blessed to have them in our lives still.

Brian and I have some small vacation plans this week which we are looking forward to. I am grateful that God has granted health, time, money, and the ability to do things like this.

I have all the programs, trophies, plaques, etc. for the awards program I am in charge of this week. It is all ready to go, and I am not at all stressed because I finished it all early!  Yea!

I have time over the summer to work on my curriculum for the next school year. God has put some great ideas in my head, and I am hoping to incorporate them next school year! I am also going the students will live the ideas as much as I "think" they will. 

We get to go on vacation with my oldest son and his family. We are hoping to vacation with my youngest son this fall...maybe...maybe not. Depends on everyone's schedule. If we can't, we will still get to see them on occasion. We will also get to see them this summer for birthdays, etc. Grateful for our sons and their families!

We have a small Bible Study Fellowship group that we went camping with last month...that was fun!  We rarely meet couples that are in about the same place we are in life, so these people have been a real blessing to us.

I am grateful for my husband, whom I have had more time to spend with lately and we have enjoyed that. We were not spending enough time together, and that is something that we should watch out for in the future.

I am grateful the Holy Spirit intercede for me.  Many times,  I have no clue how to phrase things,  or that I even should!  The Holy Spirit does! So, I don't have to worry about what I can't verbalize or rationalize,  because the Holy spirit will do that for me. 

Most importantly, I am grateful for my God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit. With out God, Jesus Christ,  the Holy Spirit,  I would have a miserable existence and no hope for the future. However...with them, I know that I will be in heaven for eternity when my earthly body dies. I am not afraid!  I know that He will care for my family and friends...as I pray for that daily in order for Him to have the glory!

With all the good and bad wrapped up all together, It's a good life. Even better, it's a good life with the hope of a perfect one in heaven someday!
