He is always behind us, waiting for us

Mary Magdalene returned to Jesus's tomb as soon as the Sabbath had been observed. She gets there in the dark light of the early morning to be near the one who saved her from seven demons, the one who loved her unconditionally when others banished her, the one she followed and supported in His ministry.  Now she is searching for that One.

She arrives at the tomb, and Jesus's body is not there!  What horror!  What confusion! What loss! Then someone calls her name, and she begs them to take her where they have hidden Him. Then...She hears Jesus voice!  What elation!  She looks up!  There is Jesus! Everything is alright!  The world makes sense again!

Do we seek Jesus like Mary Magdalene did? Early in the morning?  Earnestly? Continually yearing to have time with Him? Are we excited as we do His will?  As we pray, talk, to Him?

How exciting to have a saviour who is with us every minute of every day (whether we acknowledge it,  notice it, remember it)! What love!  Lord, I pray we all strive to return that love!
